Heritage Week @ Old Irish Goat Sanctuary

As part National Heritage Week, I joined the Old Irish Goat Society to learn about the history and heritage of the Old Irish Goat, and how these native animals intertwined with so much of our Irish identity and cultural heritage.

As part of a citizen science approach, attendees were trained on the physical characteristics or the Old Irish Goat and we took a "walk into the wild" where we surveyed the local wild goat herd to count Mulranny's Old Irish Goats based on their breed characteristic
